Lesedi
Lesedi is a multi-cultural African village, set among the pristine Bush veld and rocky hills less than an hour’s drive north of Johannesburg. Situated at Lesedi are five traditional homesteads – the Zulus with their fighting sticks and cozy beehive huts. The Xhosa with their perfectly thatched Rondawels and distinctive white blankets, the rhythmic drums and whistles of the Pedi Tribe and the conical straw hats and thick, colored blankets of the Basotho Latest additions to the facilities are a shebeen and craft market with a quaint Spaza shop with the Ndbele.

We proceed past Lanseria for either the morning program that starts at 11h30 or the late afternoon program that starts at 16h30.
Both experiences follow the same program:
– Arrive in our car park to a vibrant traditional African welcome and a refreshing welcome drink;
– Browse in our Ndebele village and craft market where Ndebele murals decorate the walls & courtyard;
– Attend a multi-visual theater presentation on the history and origin of our people;
– Guests are divided into smaller groups and taken on a guided tour of our five homesteads: Zulu, Xhosa, Basotho, Ndebele and Pedi.
– After a few drinks in the bar, guests and the families meet back in the Traditional Dance Boma for The Giant Ingoma – song and dance of all five villages. The dance culminates in communal dancing with the guests around the fire.- A Pan African Feast is served in the Nyama Choma restaurant with delicacies from North, East and South Africa.
