Shakaland Day Tour

Leaving Durban we travel into the heart of Zululand, for a Durban Zulu culture experience. We arrive at Shakaland North, home of the famous Zulu King, ‘Shaka’. King Shaka ruled much of KwaZulu-Natal and the surrounding land. Durban’s international airport is named after this great warrior and leader. From here you will be taken on a guided tour, a three hour cultural excursion of an authentic Zulu village. Learn their traditions/tribal rituals and how they live from day to day, from the layout of a Zulu home to masterful weaving and beer tasting.

Meet a real ‘Isangoma’, (A traditional Zulu healer and fortune teller). See how traditional spears are made and the fighting formation Zulu warriors adopted.
